Destiny and iNcontroL Participate in Showmatch to Determine Best Foreigner

In a close 2-1 victory, Steven “Destiny” Bonnell prevailed over EG’s Geoff “iNcontroL” Robinson in TotalBiscuit’s “Bitcoin StarCraft” showmatch that featured a $4,000 to $10,000 prize pool, depending on what time of day you checked.

The showmatch, considered by fans as the “battle of the year” between the world’s best two non-Korean StarCraft 2 players, featured a controversial North American Zerg against a Protoss on EG’s payroll.

“Without these players, it would only be Koreans placing high,” said user HoldMeGrack. “And we all know what that means: dead game.”

Destiny, like Prime’s MarineKing, returned to StarCraft after discovering other games were too difficult. The landmark win was his first headline in recent years that did not involve DDOS, hate speech, penis pictures, or League of Legends. “iNcontroL is the best American BW player turned SC2 player turned part-time caster who is still currently on EG,” said Destiny, “so it’s a big win for me.”

Incontrol was not fazed by the loss, and stated that he was looking forward to 6-8 days immediately after the match when Reddit would decide to love him again.
