W33 Fails to Farm 7-Minute Aghs
— January 12, 2015Romanian-Syrian player Omar “w33” Aliwi was discovered to have created a cheats-enabled lobby in order to use the -refresh command to jungle with Meepo in an EEL match.
“I did it because I got bored,” said w33 in a response to the public outcry. “I wanted to get like a 6-7 minute aghs and see their reactions.”
While w33ha was unable to type “-gold 4200” to achieve his goal, he was able to garner many reactions.
“I am very offended because lots of other people are offended,” said one r/dota2 user.
“We’re disgusted by the actions of w33 in EEL and he will be banned from StarLadder for life,” said SLTV host Vitalii Volochai. “We look forward to him playing in SL next season.”
While MeePwn’d was unable to go 24 hours between their team announcement and their first cheating scandal, w33’s Twitch stream did receive many new viewers. He predicts the Twitch chat will stop spamming -refresh “any day now.”
“I don’t defend or condone cheating of any kind,” MeePwn’d player Kai “H4nn1” Hanbueckers, who went on to write a wall of text defending his teammate.
The w33 EEL situation has set the bar for a cheating scandal that creates maximum impact on Reddit despite having no tangible real-world consequences whatsoever.
“I’m not looking for money or sponsors, all I want is TI, I’m going to go there whether people like me or not,” said w33 in a statement that surely will never be brought up again if MeePwn’d does not qualify for The International 5.
Omar apologized directly to “anyone in the game” and added, “I got the -shotgun, you got the brief rage, it’s all in the game lobby though, right?”
“People are going crazy because of how w33 is reacting to it, he’s acting like a victim when hes just a piece of shit,” said Cloud9 carry player and waste diagnostician Jacky “EternaLEnVy” Mao who maintained eye contact while slowly polishing a can of Monster energy drink. “I guess he is following in the footsteps of his cancerous server hacking teammate H4nn1.”
