Aui and Universe Announce Wedding Plans

Kurtis “Aui_2000” Ling and Saahil “UNiVeRsE” Arora announced their engagement today over a jointly produced music video. The wedding is planned to be held at TI5 in Seattle, Washington this August.

Arora will sport a custom-fitted EG suit with tasteful sponsor logos located on the tie, while Ling will wear a white-themed Veil of Discord designed by workshop artist Stephanie “Anuxi” Everett.

Ling and Arora also announced that instead of typical invitations, the best man, maid of honor, and other positions will be filled through a series of wedding party qualifier tournaments. While most players and fans are supportive of the marriage, some are upset over the lack of direct invites.

“I am the captain of their team, I am also the sole reason the couple is together, and they don’t invite me??” tweeted an incredulous Peter ‘PPD’ Dager. “I could draft the entire wedding party.”

Dager went on to say that he would first ban Jacky “EternaLEnVy” Mao from the wedding entirely, citing concerns that Mao’s relationship history with Ling may resurface during the “speak now or forever hold your peace” portion of the service.

Unfortunately, Ling’s parents have threatened not to attend the wedding due to disapproval of Arora as the groom.

“We do not bless our son’s nontraditional and frankly unnatural coupling, it’s an abomination,” said Ling’s father, Aui_1958. “We always envisioned our son marrying another support, not a disgusting offlaner.”

“Universe just has so much more experience than him,” said Ling’s mother, Aui2mom. “Why couldn’t Kurtis settle down with a nice five position like his old teammates Pie or Fogged?”

She added, “or even that nice ixMichael who messaged me last week.”

Ling and Arora plan to seal their union with bespoke matching Rods of Atos, which will be made available in the Dota 2 cosmetics store for purchase. The ceremony will be presided over by Clinton “Fear” Loomis, whose ministry qualifications include a full beard and being ordained in good standing since 1972.
