CLG Not Sure Why They Have to Stand on Stage, Receive Metal Statue

Team members of Counter Logic Gaming found themselves extremely confused last night, after LCS officials asked them to stand on stage for a few minutes longer, rather than letting them pack up and immediately go home as usual. The players were disorientated and somewhat frightened by the piles of falling paper and the thousands of people screaming at them.

“When HotshotGG got on stage, he began crying a lot, but not like the crying he does in his room every night while clutching a bottle of Jack Daniels,” noted Eugene ‘Pobelter’ Park. “At first, I thought the team I was on had gotten relegated again and this was Riot’s new way of making fun of us.”

The players only grew more confused after LCS officials handed the team a strange, metal statue, causing the audience to shriek louder and HotshotGG to weep even more.

Zaqueri “Aphromoo” Black, the smartest player of the bunch, was the first to figure out why everyone was so happy and celebratory: “I think the statue must be our new Korean jungler.”

Things were first suspicious for CLG when HotshotGG asked them to play a few more games more than they usually played.

“When I asked if the extra games were for practice, HotshotGG paused for a moment before telling me ‘Yes, they are just practice. Just some casual scrims, no pressure,’” recounted CLG’s loudest voice, Yiliang ‘Doublelift’ Peng. Although he is an LCS veteran, it was clear that Peng hadn’t the faintest clue as to what was going on. “He also added that I should think of the enemy players as 500 gold minions.”

While leaving Madison Square Garden, the team was mortified to discover their fans had upside-down versions of their usual frowns. Furthermore, none of them were avoiding eye contact, and many had even forgotten to bring their crates of rotten vegetables.

However, the team ended on a happy note tonight, for Hotshotgg must have cried so much that he forget to yell at all of them, fire 2-4 people, and tweet “Change will come, I promise.” Instead, he told everyone that for doing so well in practices, they will have awesome vacations in Europe.

CLG’s victory also generated bewilderment among the League community in general.

“I’m not sure why CLG and their fans are so happy,” commented TSM fan /u/TeamStromboliMeatballs, expressing a confusion found in many other TSM fans. “I mean, TSM eventually made a comeback and won 4:3.”
