PPD Apologizes to Brazil

Evil Geniuses captain and drafter Peter “PPD” Dager has apologized after making several insulting comments toward Brazilian team paiN Gaming during the joinDOTA MLG Pro League Season 1.

Dager appeared contrite and humble while reading a prepared statement:

“I am extremely sorry to all of Brazil that pinG Gaming has no chance of qualifying,” said Dager, reading a prepared statement that he drafted himself. “Maybe if their third world country used 100TB.com’s high performance dedicated servers, they would be able to live up to their latency potential.”

Dager also believed that his comments were taken out of context and misinterpreted.

“When I said ‘what’s the point, you’re not qualifying for this event so just get this shit over with’ what I meant was that because they are a much less skilled team, their chances of qualifying are very remote.”

Dager indicated that his statement “you guys are awful at dota and we aren’t” was intended to illustrate the vast quality difference between the two teams.

Evil Geniuses announced that the team will be taking disciplinary action against Dager in the form of Brazilian cultural sensitivity training.

“Peter will play Tekken 4 as Eddy Gordo for thirty five to forty minutes,” said EG manager Charlie ‘Monolith’ Yang. “Afterward, he’ll watch the one goal Brazil scored against Germany in the 2014 FIFA World Cup semifinals.”

Dager added, “That soccer match was played on a Brazilian server and it didn’t seem to help them.”

To better understand Brazil, EG’s Dota 2 team also plans to watch the film Fast and Furious 7 in April 2015 without purchasing any snacks. While none of the new film is set in Brazil, the fifth film in the blockbuster franchise, Fast Five, was set in Rio de Janeiro.
