D2CL Demands Regame of 2013 Season After Losing VODs

Dota 2 Champions League administrators have announced that the VODs of the D2CL 2013 tournament have been lost either due to an unforeseen, unpreventable server issue or human negligence. The tournament has now requested that all teams involved replay the season.

“Same picks, same items, same lanes,” said administrator DeJaVoid. “The players should try to remember roughly where they were ganked and when.”

While the tournament organizers have recognized the moderate inconvenience this may place on players, many of whom will be playing this year’s D2CL Season 2 at the same time, they believe a full replay of D2CL Season 1 is the best course of action. The tournament promises it will “remember to save VODs this time.”

“I’m looking forward to playing with Fogged and MSS again,” said Evil Geniuses player Clinton “Fear” Loomis. “Even though we’ll be historically obligated to lose before playoffs.”

The 2013 D2CL Season 1 champion Alliance will presumably become the first team in Dota 2 history to win the exact same tournament twice, with the exact same scores and in the exact same manner, but on different patches.

“We’re very confident we can win the previous D2CL, because we actually won the D2CL,” said Alliance captain Jonathan “Loda” Berg. “You guys should probably bet your rares on us.”

Berg has since lost the hat he wore while playing D2CL Season 1 matches, sources say he must find an identical hat or face disqualification.
